About MDA Insights

Two Halves of the Same Problem

The website a practice shows people, and the domain it runs on. Most small businesses have those handled by two parties who never speak to each other. We do both, and we keep them working.

It Began With a Problem Nobody Was Looking At

Most small businesses no longer send their own email directly. Booking platforms, CRMs, newsletter tools, billing systems and appointment reminders all send mail using the business's domain name, and almost nobody has visibility into whether any of that is configured correctly.

That gap is invisible. There's no breach to detect and nothing on the business's side looks broken, which is exactly why it sits unaddressed for years while anyone at all can send email that appears to come from the practice.

We built MDA Insights around fixing it. What we found along the way was that the same practices with unprotected domains usually had websites nobody had touched since launch, no search visibility, and no idea their contact form had stopped delivering. So the work grew to cover both.

how MDA Insights started

Practices and Firms Without an IT Department

Medical Practices

Single-location and specialty practices where a spoofed email to a patient is a real problem rather than a theoretical one, and where the website needs to look current without changing every week.

Dental Offices

Practices competing locally for new patients, where being findable in the surrounding few miles matters far more than ranking nationally for anything.

Law Firms

Small and solo firms handling client correspondence and wire instructions by email, where domain impersonation carries consequences well beyond embarrassment.

What we don't do

We don't manage reviews, run ad campaigns, or resell hosting. Those are real services and there are good people doing them; they're just not us. Being clear about it up front saves everyone a call.

Who You'll Work With

You'll Know the People Doing the Work

No account managers relaying messages to someone you never meet. These are the people building your site and touching your DNS.

Principal Engineer
Infrastructure & Email Security

David has spent sixteen years keeping large systems online. Most recently as a Senior Systems Engineer at First American Financial & Title, where he designed and ran the monitoring platforms covering critical .NET and Java applications across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. Before that, DevOps engineering at AT&T/DirecTV and Expedia, where he led monitoring and automation across more than 20,000 production servers in a 24/7 operations environment.

Specializing in uptime, alerting, and root cause analysis, David knows a system is failing before the people relying on it do. It's the same discipline behind our website monitoring, and it's why a practice hears from us about a broken contact form before a patient has to report it.

Email authentication sits in the same territory. DNS records, mail routing, policy enforcement: infrastructure problems that happen to arrive dressed as marketing ones. Most agencies won't touch them, and most IT generalists never get to them.

Angela Gill

Managing Partner
Design & Development

Angela runs MDA Insights and leads design and development on every site we build. Layout, structure, build, launch, nothing goes out that she hasn't worked on directly.

She has spent five years building and designing websites, consulting on projects for businesses of every size before bringing that work in-house here. Her focus is the part most small practices never get: a site that reflects the business as it is now, loads properly, and does the one job it exists to do; get someone to pick up the phone or fill in the form.

She also handles the client side of the work directly. When you have a question about your site, you're asking the person who built it.

Behind the scenes we have a team handling development, monitoring, and customer support. Work stays in-house, we don't subcontract client sites or give DNS access to third parties ever.

Everything is in your name

The domain, the hosting account, the site itself. We hold delegated access to do the work and nothing more. If you leave, there's nothing to unwind.

We don't resell hosting

You pay your provider directly, at their price. No markup, no lock-in, and no waiting on us if there's ever a billing problem.

Nothing is subcontracted

Client sites and DNS access stay in-house. Nobody outside this company touches the records that control your email.

Services are priced separately

Security work and marketing work get bought by different people for different reasons. Bundling them is how one of them ends up as a line item nobody owns.

We'll tell you when you don't need us

If your site is fine and only your email is exposed, we'll say so. Selling a practice something it doesn't need is a short business.
